FREE admission! International Preservation Trades Workshop (IPTW) Public Day! The International Preservation Trades Workshop (IPTW) is the only gathering of its kind in North America that brings together the foremost practitioners of the traditional trades in a single event, dedicated to sharing the skills and knowledge of all the trades employed in the conservation of the built environment. Hosted by the Preservation Trades Network since 1997, carpenters, masons, metal workers, painters, plasterers, timber framers, roofers and practitioners of other traditional trades from more than a dozen countries have come together to share their knowledge and demonstrate their skills. IPTW Public Day will be one afternoon open to the public to learn about training, employment and career opportunities in the traditional and preservation trades industry. Visit representatives from various educational programs and working professionals at the main tent to learn about how to get involved in the trades. Witness live, hands-on demonstrations all afternoon in a variety of trades and perhaps even try your hand at one! Exhibitors open at 12:30, Demonstration Sessions begin at 1:30pm.
